Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and QuickMonk Technologies for using WealthMonk. Plain language where the law allows it.

1. The agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the WealthMonk mobile application, the website at https://wealthmonk.co.in, and related services (together, “WealthMonk” or “the Service”), provided by QuickMonk Technologies Private Limited (“QuickMonk”, “we”, “us”), CIN U62020TS2026PTC215610, MIG-01-1106, Chitrapuri Colony, Rangareddy, Telangana 500089, India.

By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is part of them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, capable of entering into a binding contract under Indian law, and hold an Indian mobile number to which sign-in codes can be sent. The Service is designed for use in India with Indian banks and the Indian rupee.

3. Your account

  • Your account is identified by your mobile number and secured by one-time codes sent to it. You are responsible for keeping that number and your device secure, and for everything done through your account.
  • Use one account per person. Do not create an account for someone else or share yours.
  • Tell us promptly at support@wealthmonk.co.in if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
  • You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete Account) or as described on the account deletion page.

4. What WealthMonk is — and is not

WealthMonk is a personal-finance tool. With your permission it reads bank and card alerts on your phone and records them as transactions; it lets you track accounts, bills, cards, goals, assets and liabilities; and it computes budgets, scores, projections and insights from what it has recorded. It is currently free of charge.

WealthMonk is not a bank, a payment service, a lender, a broker, an investment adviser, an insurance intermediary or a tax adviser. Specifically:

  • The Service does not move money. It cannot make payments, transfers or investments on your behalf.
  • The Service does not sell, distribute, recommend for a fee, or earn commission on any financial product.
  • Calculators, scores, projections and insights are informational and educational. They are computed from the information in your account using general assumptions. They are not personalised investment, tax, insurance or legal advice, and they do not take account of your complete circumstances. QuickMonk is not registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India as an investment adviser or research analyst.
  • Before acting on anything the app shows you, verify it against your bank’s records and, where appropriate, consult a qualified professional.

5. Accuracy of automatic capture

Automatic capture depends on the content and format of messages your bank sends, which we do not control and which change without notice. The parser is tested extensively, but it can miss a message, read one incorrectly, categorise a merchant wrongly or attribute a transaction to the wrong account. Balances, bill amounts, due dates and every figure derived from them may therefore be incomplete or wrong.

Your bank’s statement is the authoritative record, not WealthMonk. You are responsible for checking the information in the app before relying on it — in particular before paying a bill, judging whether a card has been paid, or making any financial decision. Where the app flags a transaction for review, please review it.

6. Privacy

How we handle your information — including exactly what happens to your SMS — is set out in the Privacy Policy. In short: SMS are read on your device and never uploaded; only derived transaction fields and a one-way digest are stored in your account; nothing is sold or shared for marketing.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to process anyone’s data but your own without their consent;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other users’ accounts, or the systems behind it, or probe, scan or test their vulnerability except as described on our security page;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or extract the source code of the app except to the extent the law expressly permits;
  • copy, resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Service or its content;
  • use automated means to access the Service other than through the app;
  • interfere with the Service’s operation or with other users’ use of it, or introduce malicious code.

8. Intellectual property

The Service — including the app, the website, the parser, the merchant dictionary, the designs, the WealthMonk name and the monk mascot — is owned by QuickMonk or its licensors and protected by Indian and international intellectual-property law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on Android devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms.

Your data is yours. You retain all rights in the information you enter into the Service and in the ledger derived from your messages. You grant us only the licence needed to store, process and display it to you in order to provide the Service.

9. Third-party services

The app is distributed through Google Play, whose terms also apply to your download. It reads messages sent by your bank and card issuer, whose terms govern those services. It is hosted on third-party infrastructure described in the Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their terms.

10. Changes and availability

We may add, change or remove features, and may modify or discontinue the Service, at any time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes where practicable. Updates to the app may be required to keep using it. The Service is provided free of charge; we may introduce paid features in future, in which case the terms for them will be presented before you are charged.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times or without interruption, or that background synchronisation will run on every device and configuration.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. On termination your licence to use the app ends; sections 8, 12, 13 and 14 survive. If we terminate an account for reasons other than your breach, we will give you a reasonable opportunity to export your data first.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the information in the app is accurate, complete or current, that the Service will meet your requirements, or that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, QuickMonk and its directors, employees and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, savings, data or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with the Service or these Terms — including, without limitation, any loss resulting from a missed, late or incorrectly recorded transaction, bill, due date or balance, or from any financial decision taken in reliance on the Service — whether based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability or otherwise, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims in any twelve-month period will not exceed the greater of ₹1,000 and the amount you paid us for the Service in that period.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Indian law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any non-excludable consumer rights, the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service. Before starting proceedings, please write to us — most issues can be resolved directly.
